
Laura Vaught serves as the Associate Administrator for EPA’s Office of Policy. Prior to her appointment in the Office of Policy, Laura served as Associate Administrator in EPA’s Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Relations, where she provided leadership on a broad range of the agency’s legislative and policy issues. Prior to joining EPA in 2011, Laura spent the past decade on Capitol Hill where she worked as Chief of Staff for Congressman Rick Boucher and as professional staff on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. During her time on the Hill she played an integral role in several energy and environment legislative initiatives, including climate change legislation and the Energy Independence and Security Act. Laura holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Wake Forest University.
