Summary
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announces the availability of the Administrative Record (AR) for emergency removal activities conducted at the Nelson Electric Company, a facility which services electrical transformers and voltage regulators located in a mixed industrial/residential area at 1010 Holly Spring Avenue in Richmond, Virginia. The AR contains documents about cleanup activities conducted at the site. After high levels of PCB contamination were discovered onsite, EPA removed and properly disposed of 200 cubic yards of PCB-contaminated soils. Now that this emergency cleanup effort is complete, tests now indicate public health and the environment remain protected.
